  14.            As always, games nowadays are never finished and
  15.            Half-Life is no exception, so sierra released an
  16.            update  on  the  25th  of  november  1998  which 
  17.            contains the following fixes:
  18.            
  19.            1. Disabled  the   music    track  check  in  CD 
  20.               Authentication. One problem that some  people 
  21.               faced was that they have CD-ROM  drives  that 
  22.               either can't play the  music  tracks or  they 
  23.               have disabled CD audio on that device.  
  24.               
  25.               We've   disabled   the  portion   of  the  CD 
  26.               authentication  that  checked  for the  music 
  27.               tracks since it was  tripping  up  legitimate 
  28.               customers. Of course  they  still  won't hear 
  29.               the music until they get their CD audio fixed 
  30.               but they would have that with  any game  that 
  31.               uses CD music.

  33.            2. Adjusted   the   default   configuration  for 
  34.               multiplayer to be more appropriate for people
  35.               with lower speed modems or with high ping/bad
  36.               packet loss.

  38.            3. The default rate for LAN games  is now set to 
  39.               9999. Previously  the LAN rate  was being set 
  40.               to the be the same as the Internet rate.

  42.            4. Removed the WON  authentication  attempts for 
  43.               LAN games.  LAN games are limited to a single 
  44.               Class B address range.

  46.            5. Fixed an  uninstall  issue  that  may  affect 
  47.               custom locations.

  49.            6. Fixed an A3D underwater sound bug.

  54.            Installation
  55.  
  56.            So here's  the deal, get  the  update   v1.0.0.6 
  57.            from somewhere and try to update your  Half-Life 
  58.            files  (if you try to update an already  patched 
  59.            HL.EXE (a non-original HL.EXE file), it will not
  60.            be updated by  Sierra  updater program due to  a 
  61.            file validation check.

  63.            Anyway, so get it to  the  right  version, unzip
  64.            'HL1006Crk.exe' in your Half-Life folder, run it
  65.            and follow the instruction.

  70.            Of course  this  KrAcK is  only  for educational 
  71.            uses,  and  of  course, if  you want to use this
  72.            program  for a  long  period  of  time, you have
  73.            to  buy   it...  This  KrAcK  has  been  made to 
  74.            relief   the   user  of being  constantly pushed
  75.            to  purchase  the  program   during   its period
  76.            of  evaluation and/or to be constantly forced to 
  77.            use the CD to play, which is sometimes difficult 
  78.            when using a laptop. No  means of illegal profit  
  79.            or commercial  uses were  intent. Remember, this
  80.            program  ain't  illegal by itself,  it's the use 
  81.            made with it : "to crack"  which is illegal.  By 
  82.            this  I take  absolutly no responsability of any
  83.            actions/harms made with this program.
